al fresco bliss: warm summer nights

07.22.23

Welcome to Season Four, Part X.
Warm California nights are upon us—the nights when you sit amongst family and friends al fresco and feel the cool night breeze as it refreshes you, sipping a chilled glass of wine. These are the nights that remind us how fortunate we are to offer an outdoor dining experience in Southern California.
We are Ulysses and Adriana, the creators of this pop-up dinner concept that grew from our love of Baja MX. Our approach is to use what is available to us and make it the best version possible. We believe that the best dining experiences consist of equal parts food and ambiance. Tonight is the culmination of our culinary and interior design backgrounds coming together.

Menu Highlights :

Highlighting a menu of dishes we hold near and dear to our hearts is not an easy feat. We decided to keep this menu more simple, light, refreshing, and seafood heavy.

Second time back is our Ranchero Cassoulet. This particular dish epitomizes the harmonious blending of Mexican and French culinary traditions. Traditionally, a French cassoulet incorporates ingredients such as duck confit and Toulouse sausage. However, in our rendition, we have opted for familiar flavors like carnitas and longaniza. We will be serving a confit pork on top of Rancho Gordo French Beans, Longaniza, Bacon, and a side of tortillas. This dish embodies our respect for traditional french food and technique, but with a fun perspective.

Tonight’s Special :

Half Dozen, Sea of Cortez Wood-Fired Oysters. Lightly basted with a chipotle garlic butter. Ask your server for pricing.

Uly & Adri’s Drink Recommendation :

Start the night on a lighter note with our Ginger Tonic - herby, earthy, refreshing.

End your meal on a sweeter note with the Pineapple & Rum. This drink is a tropical vacation in a cup and we want the foam in a tub for dessert.

We hope tonight leaves you inspired, and excites you to come back with a friend.

Have a drink, share a plate, and enjoy.
