a taste of home

Welcome to Part VIII.

It’s good to be back in La Puente. After spending the last few weeks in Mexico working on our new concept—Paninoteca, an Italian-inspired bar and restaurant—we’re feeling so ready to cook for you again. There’s something grounding about coming back to Campo, a special place in our hearts. Nights like these remind us why there’s nothing quite like coming home—and nothing quite like sharing it with all of you.

Tonight’s menu is a blend of stories—some old, some new. You’ll find dishes pulled from chef’s childhood favorites, a few that have earned their place as Campo classics, and a theme that leans into everything we love about summer in Southern California.

If you’re new here, read more about our story.

Menu Highlights :

Lobster Spaghetti: Inspired by a dish Chef first fell in love with at Faith & Flower—a spot his brother took him to during his culinary school days. This version features his favorite protein, paired with a rich lobster fumet and San Marzano tomato based, tossed with fresh hand-spun spaghetti and finished with cream, basil, and shaved Parmigiano Reggiano. A nostalgic favorite, reimagined.

Wood Roasted Lechón: Our take on lechón, with a California twist. This rolled Duroc pork belly is brined with apples and aromatics, stuffed with a ginger-scallion mixture, and slow-roasted in our wood oven until perfectly crisp and tender. Served with a sweet, acidic pork jus to balance the richness—and to cut through the kimchi fried rice. Inspired by a visit to Ohio and a memorable dinner at The Pearl, where steak and kimchi fried rice sparked the idea to recreate this dish Campo-style.

Gaucho Asado: Honorable mention for this bold Argentine-inspired feast featuring our signature 25-day, dry-aged, 24 ounce ribeye, house-made Argentine chorizo developed exclusively in house and vibrant bone marrow chimichurri to bring it all together.

Banana Tres Leches: A nostalgic nod to Chef’s favorite childhood treats—banana milkshakes and classic tres leches. This dessert blends both memories into one sweet, creamy finishing note.

Uly & Adri’s Drink Recommendation :

Bramble Smash: Larceny bourbon, fresh lemon, house rosemary syrup, and muddled blackberries—shaken and served over ice. Finished with a sprig of rosemary and a twist of lemon. Bright, herbaceous, and summer-ready.

Gin & Flora: Bright and botanical, this cocktail blends Citadelle gin with elderflower liquor, crisp cucumber, and fresh lime for a refreshing floral finish.

As always - have a drink, share a plate, and enjoy.
